At the age of fifty, most people believe their life is half over.  No, life is what you make of it.  I am often asked how does it feel to be half a century old. I always reply; How does it feel to breath?' Though I have troubles, I still try to take time out for me. Sometimes it's just reading a good book, or taking my nephew for a walk.  When I can, it's going to the ocean and listening to the sounds around me, and smelling the salt air.  I love spending time with my mom or my granddaughter. 

Another question I get a lot is how can you stand to be without a man in my life. I usually say that if you knew what my past has been with men, and if you pay attention to how a lot of relationships ends these day, you would understand me.  I can wait for him. Even if it doesn't happen this lifetime.  It's better to be alone than to be hurt, and I mean this in any manner.
