I don't know if I'll rent one, I'm weird about doing stuff like that. I know they sanitize it and everything, but that's kinda weird to me. I'll use her. When I was talking about milk left, I meant the little tiny bit left in my breasts, that can't hurt her, right?
ooppsss LOL I responded in the wrong profile lmao!!!!! omg I am so tired sorry about that...
regarding your post latinalonestar, yeah, I think people don't really understand how AP works, I mean, just like circumcision it seems like common sense to me kwim? I don't know probably it is the fact that I want to raise my kids in a 'gentle' way avoiding cribs in separate rooms, circ, crying babies, encouraging gentle discipline, etc I don't know it seems that that's the kind of parenting I wanted to receive so I give it to my children. so how is your son and his eyes?
mine was born 8/5!!! :) it was a beautiful birth, he actually came in on time - my due date was 8/5 lol!!!! My boy is about 22 or more lbs (yeah he is huge!!) so I need to change him to a side-car crib asap. The arm sleeper is great since it is great until the baby is 30 lbs. but I am afraid he is going to be out of the bassinet really soon because he is just growing too fast :)
Hi thanks fot the Oregano info. I've never had a problem with yeast - thank goodness. Even with my antibiotics. My dad said the oregano lowered his blood pressure also, not sure if it's supposed to do that or not, but he was on bloodpressure meds, and his bloodpressure dropped he quit taking his BP meds and has had fine BP ever since. My parents recently went to the Dominican Republic (Cruise) and of course your not supposed to drink the water, they didn't, but mom got sick anyway, she took oregano for a few days and was fine. I don't think I have a parasite problem either. My dad has a friend at work that told him about oregano, he's been trying to get me to take it ever since. I have so many allergic reactions, that I'm skeptical, I'm allergic to Flouride, like in toothpaste, and Benadryl to name the weirdest ones. I don't plan on trying it until I talk with my doctor, or someone who knows whether it would be safe or not. I appreciate that you tell people and me to talk to someone trained to specialize in things, there are people on the site that recommend medications, some over the counter, as though they are a physician, medical advice especially when it's something OTC or readily available can be dangerous. Anyway I just wanted to applaud you on saying to check it out first! Michele My dad also said it helped with his allergies.
I agree with you totally. I understand that there are somethings where a prescription is the only thing we can do for now, but I do feel it's important for us to look into natural alternatives. Some doctors are great, but a lot of them can't point us in the right direction, that's what I like about this site, I may not agree with everyone, but they might point me in a direction I hadn't considered before. I was on a whole slew of prescriptions for a while, including pain meds for a ruptured disc that I can't have surgery on due to MRSA. Luckily (and this will sound wierd) I fell and broke my arm in 3 places, apparently the fall helped my back (I know sounds wierd) I quit taking all of my pain meds, to make a long story short I now take 3 pills a day (when I don't have MRSA) I take 2 PLaquinel for Lupus, and 1 Ambien. It's nice to not have to take a handful of things several times a day. I quit taking my heart meds, so far so good, we'll see! Do you know anything about Oregano Tablets? My dad swears by it and keeps telling me to try it, but I don't know much about it. Thanks, Michele
I think that sounds great! I have had a lot of patients that have taken Provigil, and most of which were really helped by it. There is a Triad fro diagnosing Narcolepsy, it sounds like you definately had a positive MSLT, that's the Nap Sleep Study you were referring to. Cataplexy is usually part of the diagnoses, but if you are doing well now without the medications, that is great!!! It would be interesting to do another sleep study and see if your sleep architecture is now improved. But if your feeling good, there's no reason to pay for another study. It sure would be interesting to do a study on you though. Keep me posted on how you're doing with this. I'm very interested because of your natural approach, i did research with a physician at the CHildren's Hospital, we found that a good deal of children that were though to have ADHD or ADD really had a sleep disorder, which required no medication. The sad thing is, most children thought to have ADHD or ADD are put on Medication that will actually make the sleep disorder worse, and cause other side effects, and it's hard to get the kids off the meds once they start. There is so much we are still learning about sleep, and how it relates to the body, it's a fascinating field that I am very passionate about.
I can understand why you would be scared, my youngest daughter Rachel woke up cross eyed on morning when she was 2 years old, they told me it was either an eye problem or a brain tumor, I was terrified, they sent me to a pediatric eye surgeon, he discovered she had a severe sight problem that was causing her cross eyes, they had to do surgery. The point of this is maybe you ask to see and eye speciallist, they may recommend you get the MRI anyway, but maybe it won't be necessary. My oldest daughter now 16 when she was 9 months old started having seizures, they said it could be a brain tumor, or a brain malformation, and we needed an MRI, it was important to have it done right away in case it was something like that, it wasn't it was something called Infantile spasms, they said she wouldn't live to be 25, she never walk, talk or be able to feed herself, the prognosis was poor. I cried, I prayed, and luckily the brain wave that found the problem disappeared and she is a normal healthy teenager. If you don't trust your doctor, get a second opinion, go with your gut, but remember if it is something serious, you will need to treat early to best fix the problem. I know it's scary, but it may be necessary. I don't know if this helped, I hope all goes well. Best wishes, Michele

It better be a good pump, I paid a lot of money for it, its the Medela one.
Silly question, I know I still have a little bit of left over, the milk that is in there, isn't bad is it?
Thank you sooooo much, I am going to start trying that today. I have a really good pump, so I can use that one.
