I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story.  We were just told yesterday that our 5 year-old would need to have this same procedure done.  I did not want to hear that, but definitely know why the surgery must be done.  In our case, our son has the condition in both eyes, but not to the extent that you could always notice.  We would notice it most when he was tired.  Even then, I wasn't sure that there was really a problem.  The doctor is planning on cutting the interior muscles of the eye and moving them back 2 degrees.  That seems so little, but is needed for the eyes to function correctly!  As with any surgery, I am very nervous about him being put under, but also know that it will be worth it!  Thanks again for sharing your story.  It has eased my mind (and my aching heart) a lot!
