I am a full time caregiver for my total care daughter, 41 year old Shannon, injured in a car wreck in 2003.  I also care for my husband who suffers from Parkinson's and dementia.  Two more clinical rotations and I will be ready to take the exam for certification as a Family Nurse Practitoner. I took these classes to keep my mind busy so that I could survive the stress level with caring for two patients 24 hours a day.  I also have many little dogs in the house to keep me happy.  My sibbling think I am crazy for having so many little dogs,  but I would be crazy if I didn't.  They supply me with love and attention that I need to 'keep on keeping on.' 

            My first husband left me for a blond.  To cope, I wrote up many cheating songs, each describing what occurred during those days.  I recorded the songs and wrote a book about the events of adultry and named the CD and the book, "Red Flag Signs."  It was therapy for me, and now I have something to laugh about.
