Salt Caves

Ok... so as stated in my profile bio, i have "chronic bronchitis" and very constricted nostrils (hard to breathe through nose). I recently saw the episode where someone mentioned the Halo therapy methods and "salt caves". The idea is the salt caves create an environment with cleaner air due to some effects form the iodine. The iodine [allegedly] cleans not only the surfaces from bacteria, but any airborne bacteria as well. Results = cleaner air to breathe. Problem is, I live in California and noone in my neighborhood(s) knows about these treatments. Does anyone know of some sources i can look to for inquiries and, possibly, inquire about centers close to home?

Here's a tid-bit of fun thought for ya: I'm trying to take a gas mask (painter's mask) and filling the filters with salt. That way, the air is filtered as I breathe in, and the salt takes it's affect (if any). What do you guys think? Is it something worth trying? Does it sound like it might e affective?
