This list is AWESOME!! It's exactly what I was trying to accomplish when I added Cycles to the Recipe Message Board. You have the technology to make it all fly. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

deborah armstrong

I would like the recipe for kale chips! Having a problem finding it. Can someone help?

deborah armstrong,

To get Dr. Sears' kale chips recipe click here!

You might need to update your browser or go to ADOBE.COM  to get a free copy of Adobe Reader to be able to open the PDF file.  If you continue to have trouble with the link please contact our TECHNICAL HELP department by going up to CONTACT THE SHOW choosing TECHNICAL HELP.

Yea!!! It looks like your task is completed --- for now. Thanks so much for all the cross referencing. This is going to be a really valuable resource.

for a more decadent "chocolate pudding" try using yogurt cream.  OMG, it makes a much thicker almost mousse like treat and is super simple to do and very satisfying.  Before bed line a colander with coffee filters or cheesecloth and put in a servings of your lowfat yogurt.  Overnight the liquid will drain out leaving you a yummy thick yogurt (yogurt cream) that is perfect as a fruit dip or to use in the mock pudding recipes!

This is exactly what I was looking for.  How incredibly helpful.  Thank you so much for your efforts.  You've help lots more people then you can even imagine!

Thank you for this site!  I am on day 9, down 7 pounds and have eaten the most delicious food!  I dont think I would be this happy about the diet if I hadnt found your recipe addition!!!

Nepa girl

OH this is so much better than going through all of the pages. Thanks so much for the list!!!

Thanks so much for the listing.  It is helping.  I just made the turkey salad (in refrig) for tonight.  I have a recipe for french toast that I found on another website.  It is really good.  Slice an apple very thin and "saute" it in PAM and a little water if needed  (I just put a lid on pan instead of adding water) until the apple is soft.

I beat two eggs, or egg whites, with vanilla Next time I am trying a maple flavoring or extract), cinnamon and Truvia (Stevia)
Then pour the egg over the apple and let set. You can scramble it (which I do in a hurry although it doesn't look as nice it taste the same) or let it set and flip it.

I think this will be our Sunday special breakfast.

terrific site.  thanks for putting this together.

could you please add the Breakfast cookie to your list of recipes would really appreciate it

This is really great.  Can't wait to try some of these recipes.  Thanks for doing this.

p.s. Dr. Sears Kale Chips recipe has agave nectar - what cycle is that allowed in?  My recipe for kale chips uses olive oil, apple cider vinegar and Bragg's Liquid aminos but no sweeteners...

Love this list; thank you so so much!!!!

This is the best thing ever!!!! Thank you so much for doing this....can't wait for the next two....such a time-saver :-)

Just curious if pickles are ok to eat during the 1st cycle?

Any idea when the cycle 2 recipe list will be up? I'll be ready for those in about a week. It's a great, quick resource to get new ideas. Thanks! Day 12 and 9 lbs gone!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This list is wonderful. I was hoping recipes would be broken up by cycles...

This is a very thoughtful community!

So happy to have found this site!...I was wondering are all these recipes approved by the 17 Day Diet author? (Doctor)  just curious.  :)

I am on the second round of Cycle 1, as I strayed after the first 17 day cycle 1.  I find this list to be very helpful

creating new meal ideas.

Can someone HELP, I have been on cycle 1 and part of cycle 2, lost 19 lbs. so far.  However, I need NUTS,

when and what can I have?

I have a ton of recipes on my blog if you want to link to them

I have only been on the diet for 1 week and have stuck completely to the day planner meals in the book.  I'm really going to go through these recipes and try some.  I take it that any of these recipes can be used while you are on cycle 1?  I have to admit I was getting a bit bored doing the meats the same way.

Jane1569: When looking at the recipes, make sure you double-check the ingredients, as some who post recipes aren't all that careful about making sure their ingredients are allowed in the cycle they say they're for.  MOST people are, but there are some that are not compliant -- just a word to the wise!

HMKSIS: On the nuts, Dr. Mike said in one of his videos or webcasts that we CAN substitute 1 Tbsp of nuts for one of our Friendly Fat servings -- every now and then, I do that with almonds.

Loved the different recipes for cycle 1.  The recipes in the book were great but love the different ideas using the main ingredients.  Just started cycle 2 today.  Any idea when they might have these recipes for cycle 2?  Managed to lose 6 lbs in two weeks so happy with that.

Beachplum: These recipes are NOT approved by Dr Mike -- there's some that aren't compliant, period; and some that aren't compliant for the cycles listed.  Get to know your food lists for each cycle well! Altho....MOST recipes are compliant for the most part.

Beachplum,  I am sorry that I missed your question.

These recipes are from neither the author nor the book,  They are merely suggestions that our members have made that they felt fit within the guidelines of the diet. We do not endorse these recipes, nor do we contend that they fall within the guidelines set forth by the author. We simply provide a forum where people can share their ideas.

Can anybody tell me if on Cylce 2 using canned oysters instead of I guess fresh oysters okay?

Beatriz Reimer

Hello!!!! Could also do the same for all the recipes for C2? All I can find is C1.... Thank you!!!

Beatriz Reimer

It would be a great help to also have recipes for C2!!! pls!!!!!!

Hey guys! im new to this and just started today! i was wondering if we can have any one of these foods on here for any of our meals? Also, if we dont want to eat fish or anything & cant. Can meal replacements be taken too?

Thank you so much for compiling this list!  Just wondering how I was going to come up with variation of recipes to make me keep eatin sensibly!  Day 3 of cycle 1.  Feel better already getting that sugar out of my system!

can you use onion soup mix in recipes in cycle 1

when I clicked on slow cooker turkey breast, the thread for sheperd's pie came up - the slow cooker turkey is just below sheperd's pie - can you find the turkey breast recipe and put it in? I'd really like to try it!! :) Thanks for all this hard work - you are AMAZING!

Was there ever alist for Cycle 2 and 3 put on here?  Where do you find it?

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I was always just using the few recipes listed in the back of the book and I got SO burnt out on soup and salads.... I haven't been able to make it through the first 17 days in OVER A YEAR!!! This list is so helpful! I am so hopeful that I can do it this time!

I cannot find any sugar free yogurts.....and also, are we able to drink the bottled green tea?  Or is the green tea after each mean only the tea bag kind?  I just started today and it seems like I had more sugar than what is allowed.....:(

Couple questions:  I'm on day 4 and have not drank green tea with every meal.  Will that affect the weight loss? Also I bought no sugar regular yogurt that has 7 grams of sugar.  Should I discontinue that and get greek yogurt?

Thanks and help!

Has anyone had weight loss surgery and doing this diet?  is there anything that I should do different need to loose a couple of the happy honeymoon pounds?  Please let me know if you have heard of anything different someone should do if they have had weight loss surgery.

I have been on the 17 day for about 1 and 1/2 years, so far I have lost 67 lbs - haven't been very good for about 5 months but I am back on the band wagon.  All the recipes on this website will make it so much easier to lose my last 40 lbs.  So many great ideas.. thanks all.

p.s. I thought I would add that the last 5 months have proven to me that this needs to be a lifestyle change, not just a diet.  When i have reached the weight I would like to be - I will continue to follow this nutrition plan because I will never go back to where I have come from.

Can we eat this recipe on Cycle 1?

3 cups quick cooking oats

1/2 cup cocoa

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1/2 cup butter

2 splenda

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Many of the 17 day recipes are also on You can google 17 day diet, food com and it should give you a link to more recipes.

Thanks so much. Forgot how to get to, to say that I re-posted it on the Worth our Weight in Gold group. Right now it is only a couple of us. However, losing weight is what I am about and helping anyone. If you have anymore suggestions or good past posts. Please send them our way. Have a fantastic day and thanks in advance for all you do for all of us    ~♥*???*♥~

Perfect for my 1st day   THANK YOU THANK YOU !!
