About Me

I am barely over 5 feet and weigh 210 lbs. To say I'm unhappy about my weight is an understatement. I grew up riding horses and playing sports, including high school cheerleading. As a young adult I had a small horse farm and stayed busy. My weight would fluxuate 10 lbs but I watched it constantly weighing EVERY DAY of my life. At the age of 40 many events changed my world. No more little farm, moved into a condo [both due to divorce], total hysterectomy, new job, quit smoking [took several years to stop completely]. I was never what you would call thin but I was shapely and never FAT like I am now. I was a little cutie for much longer than I've been Cubby Nana. I miss her!! At this time Iam a 55 year "young" at heart grandmother - one beautiful 14 year old granddaughter, Danielle. I come from healthy stock but am now borderline diabetic and my blood pressure is creeping up. All my other numbers are good. [Recently received lab work results]. I have had my Wonderful Husband for 15 years. . . We are truly playmates. Each of us had previous relationships and in these 15 years both constantly make a conscience effort to make each other laugh daily. We are the best of friends as well. He refers to my as "His Little Redhaired Girl" [just like Charlie Brown. However he is the one who truly has major health problems from heart to fullblown diabetes [recently his MD upped his insulin to 4 shots each day]. I am so scared. . . . He needs more help than I seem able to give. I would very  much appreciate as much information as possible regarding setting up a pantry, refrigerator, snacks, etc. He's a little hardheaded so any "tricks" would be great as well. Thank you for any insight and/or help you might have the time to give us.
