I'm 39 and dreading turning the big 40! I've been married for 16yrs and we have 3 awesome boys. I'm a stay-at-home mom and office manager for the painting company that husband and I own. I've struggled with my weight since after high school. I've got a long way to go.....80+ pounds. I'm excited and fired-up for this program! WE CAN DO IT!

I took a challenge to lose between 15-20 lbs by 5/15. started 4/6 & I added exercise to the plan. I have lost 24.2 but I never exercised alot. All the Big Losers in the group say they exercise 3-5 days weekly. Faithfully. Also, the plan helps our metaboiism get back to normal This sounds perfect. I need that too. So I am goona do the best I can to lose lose lose.. I did leave a msg on the msg board called How did I get like this again & a blog called Weight Loss Challenge. I'm doing very well hon. Thanks. I have been sticking to the diet even when we were on vacation for Spring Break. I did have my "cheat" days. It has totally become a lifestyle for me. I'm down 2 sizes and I've completed all 3 cycles..so I'm back on cycle 1. I don't blog as much...but I journal at home. How have you been doing? Thanks so much for thinking of me!!

Hey great to hear about the 2 lb loss on the other post!! I haven't decided what i'll do just yet, but may give 3 a go just to break up the food a bit. I think if i can 'have it all' as 3 seems to do moreso, then going back i'll at least have had some to get me through a bit again lol.
OHHH SUNTAN, we need to keep in touch. I am going to friend you so that we make sure we keep on eachother. I have only cheated with one piece of cake during this entire time. i have probalby missed about 6 days in the 34 for not exercising. I have posting if you look at my site, Nana2010 and you will see that I called the 800 number regarding the cycles. You must do all 3. this is based on shocking and working with your metabolism. so yes i am on cycle 3, started today and will do the entire 17 days. then i will begin the 3 cycles all over again. just remember that you MUST limit your portions of carbs, protein and fruit on cycle 3. also, I am not going to have alcohal and also have my fruit and carbs before 2. let's keep in touch and make sure we are following the diet as written. good luck.
THanks for the comment Suntan38. I know, I can always get a water bra, or dig out the "chicken cutlets" I used to use when I was slim before. It's just a bit of a bummer ...boober? LOL
KMT...that is so awesome to hear!! Congrats on that significant weight loss...wow! I hear ya...my hubby will be moving on to Cycle 4 as well. We gotta be strong! I have been cheating here and there, but have worked it out when I exercise. This past weekend was my son's birthday party at a hotel. I should have planned better & ended up eating vege pizza thin crust AND a cupcake (no icing tho). Anyways...the scale was just stuck for me so I decided to go back on Cycle for 3 days and then continue on to Cycle 2. Today would have been Day 6 of Cycle 2. I made some homemade French fries that were so good! Since going back to Cycle 1..I have lost an additional 3.2 lbs. On Saturday I'm going back to Cycle 2. Did you catch Dr. Mike's video blog they have on here...he really explained a lot of things. We can put sugar-free (ie...Crystal Light) flavoring in our water. That totally helped me because I wasn't drinking all my water. Plus the tip if you feel you really messed up then we can go back to Cycle 1 for a few days and then move on. I am loving this diet! I have NEVER said that about a diet in my life! Keep up the good work girly!
How are you doing? I am so excited to start Cycle 3 on Super Bowl Sunday. I think the 2nd Cycle went by a lot faster then the first. I have started to exercise, but my husband hasn't. I have lost about 15 lbs and he has lost 18 lbs or more. We have both cheated a couple times, but didn't overdue it. So far I am pleased with the diet, but I know when we are done Cycle 3, I will be going back to Cycle 1 and my husband will move on to Cycle 4.

I haven't been on the site in awhile...way too busy and was away for the long MLK holiday weekend. We have gone out to dinner a couple of times but try to pick a restaurant where we can eat healthy...although I did cheat by eating the bread and hubby cheated with beer. We are in cylce 2 now and the steak, brown rice and potatoe has been a nice change. The weight loss has slowed down, but I did not exercise at all in cycle 1 so I have started the eliptical for the past few days which I think will help. The chili is one of my favorite recipes, especially in cycle 1. The eggplant parmesan was good, but it was even better using chicken. The cabbage, veg and chicken soup is filling. I love your blogs and it seems like you are doing really well...keep it up and we WILL do this!!
