About Me

I like to ride bicycles and horses, paddle flat water kayaks, and swim. I used to enjoy walking, hiking and back-packing until I had plantar fasciatis (sp) and gained a lot of weight as a result.

Last year, in 2010, I rode my bike around Lake Tahoe in one day (72 miles) to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In 2008, I did a sprint triathlon at Wildflower.

I also love to travel and to learn new things. Right now, I am learning French and Chinese to go with my job with Rosetta Stone.

Recently, my jobs teaching adults English have disappeared due to budget cuts. This semester, I will not be working -- so I will have time to work on getting fit.
