Hey all,
I didn't agree with all of Ted Kennedy's political views, actually I disagree with quite a few of them, however I was watching TV today, and the news media is just low down and dirty! I know there were news stories in Ted Kennedy's career that were unpleasent, the guy was human! Who hasn't made a mistake in their life, would you want it on National TV for everyone to judge, I wouldn't, I'm not perfect. The poor man had brain cancer, he just passed away, his family is understandably greiving, and the news is screaming things like "How much money did he have?" "Who's going to get it?" "Did he do this or that, what are his secrets, who in the Kennedy family is fighting, who will take the throne, and all kinds of other nonsence! I think the media is shameful in the way there are covering this. If they would like to talk about his accomplishments, or talk to his family about their fond memories, fine, when I get tired of watching I can turn the channel. The poor man just passed away, can't we let the family and those who loved him grieve without talking scandal, failure and bad choices? Someone else already brought up Michael Jackson, that is same sort of thing. I can understand the news reporting if it were found out the man was murdered or what not, but his poor kids, could you imagine finding out on TV after your fathers death, that he wasn't your father, and that the man you loved as your father did dispicaple things? Those poor kids! I just wanted to vent my anger! Thanks for listening!

your right Michele they should just let them rest in peace.
Isn't there an old saying "never speak ill of the dead"? I think this kind of behavior is a sad commentary on today's society.
I also didn't agree with Ted Kennedy's views on political issues--I'm a conservative --but I have seen on the news of how he did help others that he didn't even know. WE all have our own free will to choose but I chose to what is right in God's sight. I don't like it though when the news media says things that happen in the past of people like Ted Kennedy--it seems disrectful now that he has passed on. CandyH
I guess what people want to know is why Sen. Kennedy, who sponsored so many bills for the poor and the underserved put his money in a Costa Rican trust so he wouldn't have to help pay for the bills he sponsored. That is why people are so angry at this man's actions. The taxes on 500 million dollars is alot of money not paying into his own causes. I'm sorry he died b/f he answered these questions. When Tony Snow was dx with cancer the liberal side was 1000x worse. Bad behavior does not justify other bad behavior. Only God is his judge now, not us. As for the media, it depends on which media you watch. Fox News Channel has been very generous to the Sen. memory
Here in New York, you would think the president had died. Ted Kennedy's legacy, Ted Kennedys this, Ted Kennedy's that. The man was no genius. Everyone acts like he saved the world. He killed a girl and walked away. He wrote a health care bill. It is true, only the good die young. His funeral is on now. He loved music. The president is doing hie eulogy. There are people walking in the rain holding umbrellas over "dignitaries" heads. Are you serious? People can't carry an umbrella? Pul-eeeezzzzeee! He was a father figure to all the children. Never missed a graduation, christening, etc. That's because there was an open bar! He was a mentor, a legislator, a father, a family man. HE WAS A MURDERER! Anyone else would have spent their lives in jail, not in the comfort of the luxury of the Kennedy family. he brings shame to my Irish heritage!
Okay, what was the question?
