Hey all,
I am a sleep tech so I have limited knowledge on blood clots and broken blood vessels and things of that nature. I was hoping someone here could tell me if this should be concerning or not. As most of you know I had a blood clot in my leg a few months ago, the doctors were initially concerned they said because I had a history of Sinus Tach. They ended up telling me the blood clot was superficial and I was on Asprin for a few weeks (the doctor told me I didn't need to keep taking it) I used support hose, and I kept my leg propped up. ANyway I am very very very fair skinned, so you can see my blood vessels through my skin very easily (it's kind of creepy) I have large vessels in my forearm and one of them I guess broke. It looks like a bruise, there is no tenderness and I didn't hit it on anything. I am no longer on Asprin, I haven't taken it for about 10-12 weeks and I was only on it for about a week and a half. My question is, is this related to the blood clot thing in my leg? Should I be concerned, or is it no big deal? My insurance is crap, and I am currently drowning in medical bills (different story) so unless this is a big deal I'm not going to the doctor. Thanks, I'll include a picture, but it's really hard to see in the picture I think the flash makes everything look really light, I tried without the flash, but I still couldn't see it.
Thanks for your help!
Michele

This happened to me one time. I was sitting down and I felt this weird sensation on my knee. I was wearing shorts so I looked at my knee and a blood vessel on the top of my knee cap was "prominent" as if there was a tourniquet on my leg. I thought, "that's weird"! Then it exploded. Well, not explode, but it burst and the blood leaked out under my skin and my whole knee cap was blue. It looked extremely bruised and looked painful, but it wasn't painful at all. When I went to work the next morning, I asked one of the docs about it, and he said that it was normal and it happens sometimes for unexplained reasons. I'm sure you're fine.
ive had this happen to me as well. actually i have one in the same place as yours. I had no pain but the same appeaarance as yours. if it spreads or becomes painfull then id go and look into it otherwise i think its noraml
hugs
Depending on where it is at it can be very bad. From the pic I'm going to say that its on your forarm right?
I would go and have you Dr look at it but in that area it should heal its self. I had one bust in my eye and almost made me loss that eye.
I hope that helps you.

I have been searching for the episode where a woman suffering from chronic , severe head pain, finally found a doctor who discovered she had a pinched nerve in her head caused by a blood vessel had wrapped around a nerve, he performed surgery and simply moved the two apart from each other. ...this may be the solution I need!
who was the doctor?
How can i contact him / her?
what was her condition called?
where can I read and watch the episode?
