I'm not just overweight.
I LOVE Dr. Phil, and that's what landed me here. Today's Dr. Phil was about the 17 day challenge, and I'm here to lose weight.
I bought the 17 Day Diet book the day I saw Dr. Phil's show about it, in November. I've been struggling to get through it. I have a bit of a handicap when it comes to reading a book. I had a very bad car accident in 1986 that left me with a brain injury I continue to try to work through, about 26 years later. Books are a bit of an issue for me... all that tight print doesn't work for me. I sooo wish it would!
I won't even talk about the depression, PTSD, Post Concusion Syndrome...
But here I am! Fresh start! Let's get this thing on!
The job market is awful where I live in rural Maine, but I'm fortunate enough to have married a guy who is best friends with the owner of the BEST restaurant up here. He has me doing hostess and waitress work, AND I LOVE IT! I used to be an advertising executive, but to put a smile on someone's face while providing them with an incredible meal, prepared by the kitchen staff? AWESOME.
Next time, I'll talk about my unsuccessful gastric bypass surgery. I was skinny for 6 years! But now I'm classified as "obese" by the BMI calculator.

In my excitement of this whole 17 day diet thing... I forgot to mention that my work requires me to be able to exert myself. It's not the job for a couch potato. As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE it? I can't do it at this weight. Did I mention my heart troubles? LOL
Still, Doctors? Eat my dust!
