I have a 2yr old granddaughter who is potty trained and recently she has started to wet herself.  When she does her parents beat her and it is becoming a big issue with my husband and I.  We have tried to talk to her parents (by the way her dad is our son) and they become angry with us because they feel we are interfering with them raising her their way.  I had 4 children myself and I went through the same situation with them but i did not beat them the way they do her.  I reprogrammed them by retraining them to use the potty.  They don't want to do this because it takes up to much energy.  They are young parents who feel they know best for her.  When she is with me she very rarely wets herself because my husband and i constantly ask her if she needs to use the potty.  What can i do to help her and get her parents to stop beating her.
