I have NF1 and have Vibrating Nerves Sensations?

Miley I hope you feel better soon.

Hi, I have NF1 and I have been for the past month have had vibrating sensations that my nerves on my left side.  Mostly behind my leg. I had surgery in 2000 on my Cyatic Nerve. I know they couldn't get most of it removed.  I am not sure if this in the case why I am having the sensations.  I have no medical insurance, so I am not able to get my yearly testing.  It's been two years since I've been to a doctor.

I am a little afraid I could have a stroke or something. I am 38.  I get light headed at times and I am more exhausted the last few months.

I live in Nevada.  I know with the difficult times all the states are having, I believe I won't be able to get any help with my condition.  I hope that maybe the doctors on the show might check out the blogs and read my blog they might be able to set me in the right direction. I wrote an email to the doctors hoping one day they can have a show on NF.

Thanks for reading,

Renee

Hi, Citizen Craptastic

I havent looked in to it, but I don't believe so.  I talked to 2 attornerys and set up appointments to meet with them to see if i quality for meicaid or disabilty and no go.  They cancelled our appointments or tried to reshcedule and they never called me back.  So I have given up.  Nevada doesn't really help many people.

Thanks,

Renee,

if you lived out here in Los Angeles maybe you'd be able to recieve more help. I have NF1 too and my tumors are in the nerve roots of my back. I am in pain almost every day. Because I'm in so much pain I don't work, I've applied for diablity, but they are dragging their feet with getting that done. Even with my having a lawyer on my side it still is going slow. Right now the only way I'm covered medically is through a program called ORSA out here. All of my outpatient care is covered as well as medication.

Hi,

I have NF also it isnt fun at all. I have tumors that bug me alot, but I would be having surgery for days getting rid of them. I feel for you with no insurance I went thru that for years it is hard. I hope something will work out for you. I wish they would do a show on NF I hate the bumps on my face and the ones around my nipples, they are getting really annoying. We should all pray there will be a cure soon. Karen
