I think the ban is not really what it seems, it's more like a desperate attempt to wake-up the mothers and fathers to what really drives the cutting of newborn Males in the USA. It hurts, like for a few weeks, it greatly diminishes a Males' adult sex life. But google it all-read it all and then think if "you" would want to have it done to you and if you would want to go thru life feeling robbed-it is a real Male issue. And to have "Stork" tell how guys think it's no big deal-that they are glad they got it over with at birth is just idiotic. Here's a young doctor that I have seen turn beet red on shows about sex and sex toys. I doubt he sits around a talks about circumcism with his "buds" let alone with a population that has become brave enough to restore themselves and create a society that sees the importance FOR MALES TO FACE THIS ISSUE! Females can talk about their breasts all day with eachother-the homophobic culture for males keeps this issue truly in the dark-and that's why it is still going on in the USA. There would be no need to "BAN" if the Males in the USA would see that this is a "MALE" issue not a sexual orientation issue. GET BRAVE "STORK".
I was cut at birth and like many Males, felt robbed. It really hit me in Germany seeing how MALES are suppose to be and I finally restored my 4skin and still am adding to be 100% "natural". I saw one Male doctor that stood up for a good discussion, 2 other males that obviously had issues in themselves in that they had to out-yell the "one voice" and a Female Doctor that obviously does not know what nerve damage is. I think if an average person was told the truth in that circumcism removes 75% to 100% of the Male's sexual nerves and many times all the skin structures that make sex good for not only the Male but the Female as well, that "average person" would say that it sounds like damage to them,..., and it is. PLUS the long term nerve damage in that the glans are rubbed into de-sensitizing thickness, well why would any Male want that? Ladies, pull your clitorus out for about a year, let it rub 24/7 on your clothing and tell me you want that for your sons. If you say yes-well I hope your clitorus falls off since after 30-40-50 years, that's just about what should happen to a Male's cut penis, I know-I was there in the "it takes me forever to reach orgasm" dilema. I just could not get enough sensation.
It's a big biz in the USA-the doc gets paid, the hospitals sell these skins for millions a year and the MedLabTech companies make BIG BUCKs on products from the forskins. From cosmetics to skin grafting. The skin is almost a blank slate-Stem cell researchers even look at it for future uses-yah-guard your newborn sons mothers, the HArvesting is going to only get more "hungry"-we're talking BIG BUCKS! I was in the room at my son's birth-signed the no cutting paperwork and they still tried to cut him-it is that big of a business this foreskin harvesting!
There's nothing wrong with the foreskin-it harbours nothing any worse than a wet. moist vagina can-you just need to keep both clean. And if you hear a woman say that in love making her husband's erection rubs her raw, chances are he's been cut, his glans are rough and neither one have ever felt how great physical love "should" be. The glans move inside the foreskin-a Female won't be roughed up by an intact penis! google it ladies-see what you are missing-OH HIM TOO!!!!
Wake-up USA, if they could get the skin from newborn females too as easily as they can a Male-THEY WOULD! But for some reason not even some Males, like our two docs on the show know how much a male looses when he starts out his life without all his body-and nore did they care it sounded like! You can't say that you don't miss something you never had-I know. I have as close to an intact penis as I can hope for, and I only wish my intact father had known how it would not only affect my emotions, but my adult body image as well as the negative affects on the quality of my adult sexlife. Sounds silly?, well then cut your breasts off mothers, and hack off your genetalia all you Males that think cutting is a good thing-YOU FIRST! But leave the rest of us alone and allow the new born Male to remain "whole"-our daughters get that right under the law-our sons should too.

After having researched "Infant" Male Circumcism thru Restoration sites and REAL medical information, would you still choose to circumcism your newborn son knowing all the angless it would affect him "his" entire life?

I am one of those men who was cicumcised as an infant. Because I think the human body is beautiful as nature made it, I'm not into any piercings, scarification, tattoos, etc. Consequently, I regard my penis, a most personal and private part of my body, as having been mutilated. I severely resent that this was done to me. Such a permanent alteration was my choice to make and mine alone! I regard myself as having been damaged physically. DOCTORS: what every happened to the Hippocratic Oath to "do no harm"? Harm was done me and it is irreversible. Please leave baby boys alone. You are damaging them!
I was circumcised at birth. I had no choice. The fact that there is money to be made by doctors due to this unnecessary procedure is really troubling. I think I would have chosen to keep my foreskin if I had been given the choice.
I am also one of those men that was circumcised as an infant. I definitley resent that this very unnecessary life changing (and not for the better) procedure was done. There is no other body part that can arbitrarily removed without medical necessity. Now that the the function and purpose of the foreskin is known, the fact that this procedure is still legal in our society is truly an horrendous aberration of both our medical care and justice systems. Leave our penises alone!
Hello purenaturist,
I agree with everything you said. The attitude in this country concerning circumcision is pathetic. Although the number of infant circumcisions is on a downward trend I believe even just one routine infant circumcision is one too many. That recent show on the Doctors concerning banning circumcision was a disappointing one to say the least. Except for Dr. Sears the whole segment was why circumcision is good for you. I was really upset with Dr. Masterson an OBGYN giving her opinion on the male anatomy. That's like me trying to explain that it isn't all that painful giving birth to a baby. Who is she to tell me there is no sensitvity loss after having my most sensitve skin removed from my penis. Women like her need to live with their clitoris exposed for 60 years then she can tell me there is no difference.
There was a statement that parents make choices for the good of their babies.Cutting off their foreskins does not show me they have the good of the baby in mind. It shows me a selfish decision that uninformed people make.
My son is getting married later this year and I have already mentioned my objection to having any infant circumcised. He seemed alittle dumbfounded at my statement but rest assured it will not be the lst time I bring up that subject.
And if you do not think Males are not angry about getting mutilated without their concent: http://www.foregen.org/ is one of the groups endorced by many of the restoration and Males rights groups. "we" hope this company can undo the damage the "harvesters" have done, till then we still restore non-surgically and our Females love us for it!
Don't believe it? it's coming to the public soon I fear!

After being opposed to abortion and being an active member of the prolife movement for decades, in recent years I have been questioning the routine mutilation of babies (especially males in the USA) through circumcision. I have joined the intactivist and foreskin restoration movements here in the US. I am disturbed when I read ignorant comments in favor of cutting off normal, natural, healthy functioning parts of boys' genitals when there is no genuine medical necessity for it (merely some alleged prophylactic benefits, none of which are proven). I have now educated myself by reading MANY books and articles on the subject, and I have concluded that this mainly American/Jewish/Islamic/African practice is barbaric and unethical and should be illegal along with abortion. Even if there were some statistically verifiable value to this excruciatingly painful (and potentially risky) operation on neonatal males, no one (not even a parent or physician) has the right to dispose of a part of someone else's body (private property) without the owner's informed consent unless there is a definite dire emergency requiring immediate therapeutic (not merely socially customary) surgery. The foreskin has valuable hygienic and sexual purposes for a male that are injured or obliterated as a result of this disfiguring anatomical and physiological reductive alteration -- damage that becomes more and more evident as a man ages. Feminist groups should be openly opposing MGM along with FGM; it would be condescending, arrogant, and hypocritical for a woman to protest mutilation of girls while giving a pass to mutilation of boys.
