I am an unemployed single Mom.  I have been a single mom for 17 years now. 

I have struggled to make ends meet, single Moms do not get any help from the Government or other resources in Quebec, Canada, especially if you are an Anglophone, not easy to get Employment even in Montreal. 

I am a former Civil Servant of National Defence and left my career for my ex.  I have worked as a Medical Secretary for the last 15 years.  I went back to school in 2009 to become a Nurse, I tore my knee while on a work stage and was denied any compensation and kicked out of the program, 5 months from graduation. 

Since May 2010, I am still awaiting surgery and finally started physio. this week, after a long waiting list.  I don't have any insurance so I have to go through the public system, which is long.  I had connections, so it only took a year, as opposed to three years, it will take another couple of months for a surgery date. 

I have also been single these 17 years to raise my Daughter.  I have to admit that I have been an overprotective Mother, but I want to keep her safe from bad things that could happen.  She is 20 years old and just graduated from College.  She has never dated, but has a lot of good friends, who watch out for each other.  I am worried about her future, about her going out on her own, as every parent.  She has what 9 out of 10 teenagers have, Hypertension, and VasoVagal Syncope, she is stressed about going to University and working.  She is very opiniated about International Politics, she was in Liberal Arts, but really wants to be an Archeologist, she had some courses but doesn't have the money to continue.  Tynna  (Tina) watches your show regularly.
