Post Comments - In pain for MONTHS

Sheri1969

Have you seen your famliy doctor about this?  I've had pain in my lower right ovary area along with unusal lengthly bleeding AFTER my period has stopped.  It went on for 3 weeks - the extra bleeding.  After going to the ER, I was told to have a Pelvic Exam done, thyroid tests, hormone tests, etc.  The bleeding stopped once I was put on Provera for a 5 day period.  My doctor has me on Prometrium now.  I am on a disability too, here in Ontario Canada.  I am not active and have had no kids either.  I really think you need to see your doctor.  I had an Intra-vaginal Ultrasound done as well.  Sounds scary but it is not uncomfortable at all.  Get in to see your doctor as soon as you can.  Best wishes.

Wandalou, you should be able to work out small payments over a period of time. You should be on Medicare, and talk to your doctor about finances. This does need to be resolved.  Good luck, let me know.  Kathy

I also had pain like this and I had endometriosis and a cyst on my ovary. I was in so much pain that I would drop to the floor and curl up in a ball. I would def. go get this checked out! I didn't have insurance and I went straight to the E.R. at first they thought it was a tubal pregnancy but then realized I had endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Good luck to you!

If you are getting Social Security disablity then you should automaticaly qualify for either medicare or medicaid. Thats just how it is, its part of the deal! you need to call SSI and see if someone there can lead you in the right direction as far as getting some help.

I've had similar pelvic pain before. You say that it seems to happen closer to your period. mine always did too. Pain during sex, too. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and also with ovarian cysts. You NEED to have this checked out immediatly. go to your local community hospital, they HAVE to treat you. They cannot refuse to treat you because of inability to pay. Simply tell them you don't have the money to pay up front and that ou need a payment plan or that you need to talk to a social worker within the hospital to help you find a way to obtain insurance. It's hard to say what your pelvic pain is from. I'm just telling you what mine was. It could be many things and no one can really tell you...except a doctor. I wouldn't wait. It can be dangerous!

I had similar pains over 20 years ago.  It turned out to be ovarian cysts--non cancer! You need a doctor. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Wandalou,

You need to see a Doctor!  There are so many "free or low cost clinics" all over.  If you are unsure about it, call your local health clinic and they can refer you to a free or low cost clinic.  I had a similar pain and mine turned out to be ovarian cysts (that actually went away on their own but it was so painful) But there is so many things it "could be" so if I were you, get it checked out.  Good luck to you!

Hey, I saw your concerns and was wondering if you saw today's show?  Dr. Kerr explained atlas orthogonal chiropractic procedure and it's use for chronic pain!  If you're interested check out today's forum (Nov. 25th) under the topic "atlas procedure". User UCHCA posted a good explaination with some helpful links. A good chiropractor should help and is able to refer you for medical management if needed!  Good luck with your condition, and God bless!

One word: CHIROPRACTOR! I have my own experiences (with my WHOLE family) and they are only positive ones.  Find one.  Some insurances cover one adjustment a week, but if you ask for a package they will love to arrange something for you.
