Post Comments - HIP REPLACEMENT

Hippyy

I just got a letter from my Dr. telling me that my artificial hips were re-called. If you have a Depuy hip made by Johnson and Johnson, call your DR. I will probably need both done again. BIG SURPRISE. Thats for sure. AAAGGGGG

I had a total hip replacement in 2003. I just had a recheck and there aren't any problems or issues. My doctor/surgeon said that there are no signs of wear and tear and it looks good. I will go back again in two years for another recheck unless I have any problems or concerns. I have permanent restrictions of no running or jumping (high impact). Due to my age at the time of my surgery (34) no screws or adhesive were used to secure the implant.

Check with your doctor. You should have an x-ray done of both hips, also, take in to consideration your age, health, how active you are and whether or not you've been doing any high impact exercise.

Doctors....would love for you to do a show on total hip replacements...on patients of various ages...
