Great question..... ummmm don't have an answer.... well yes I do, when do I not.  But I have a few questions :-)  First, regarding being a patient... write your wishes BEFORE you get ill, second is it selfish of the family to prolong the agony of the patient? Third, ..... I lost my train of thought... answer:  YES the family should be made to pay. IMO

Yes, the family should have to pay for it all.  Medicare gets screwed enough.
