Ive been diagnosed with fybromyalgia, a shourmens kyphosis of the thoratic spine and three buldging disks of the lower lumbar spine. i have been threw phsyical theropy 5 times and have also had trigger point injections 25+ of them, that were failed two hours after the procedure. this was several months ago.

now my dr is completly refusing to perscribe any pain medication for my really terrible days. and is recomending that i get a nerve block done. I have researched this and have found a studie that states that a nerve block will most likly not work if trigger point injections didnt work, this is eather a epidural or radio frequincy nerve block.

the trigger point injections had put me into savere pain for two months with not on day of releif, and im haveing the same pain now for a week straight.

i need someone with some experiance with this to give me some help on how to talk to my dr, or different options to look into.

gall bladder out excruciating pain around my rib cage-  O MY... I have seen my sister now and i know whats going on. I don't know what 16 doctors shes been to, why have they not checked more clearly her ribs. CT, Chest X Ray, Thoracic doc. you name it shes done it. When she sits up it hurts more cause the rib cage is sitting more downward and the lower part is pushing up. You can push on her ribs from the back and feel them move forward. Why on earth has any doctor not checks the rib cage out. cartage to me is decreasing.  What kind of doctor can we see to find out about this. she had her gall bladder out and ever since then i believed they cut something or damaged something. That doctor will not see her. he said he did his part and that's it. sorry if i missed spelled or dont understand what im saying. i am very upset with this to see her hurt.

Hello!

I am going through EXACTLY what you are going threw.

For over 1 year my doctor has been taking bloodwork from me,  like 2 xs a month.

He has found out i have been Vitamen deficient,  anemic etc.  My pain varies checking my vitamen levels d, b-12 etc.  More blood has been taken actually today.  He is trying to rule out a AUTO IMMUNE problem too.  He said I do not have RA  even though there has been some numbers were off and this is like a big jigsaw puzzle and at age 46 it is so frustrating!

1. Get the following blood tests:
Vitamin D 25(OH)D test
Parathyroid hormone (PTH) (should be done at 8 am after 12 hours fasting, but not necessary)
Serum calcium
Magnesium
Phosphorus
TSH and Free T4 (thyroid, DO NOT DO while fasting as it is known that this will increase results by 25%)
2.Get your vitamin D to 50-80 ng/ml per Dr. John Cannell's advice at www.vitamindcouncil.org.  Vitamin D is essential to proper nerve, muscle, and bone function as well as regulating 2,000 genes in the body
3.If calcium is high, see your doctor immediately
4.If PTH is high, it should come down as you increase your D, but if it doesn't, see a doctor immediately
5.Start taking a magnesium supplement, a minium of 400 mg/day per the USRDA; magnesium relaxes muscles and even the NIH states that everyone is magnesium deficient.  If your magnesium blood level is low, ask your doctor about injections to get your level up faster
6.If your phosphorus is high, ask your doctor how to lower it.  High phosphorus blocks vitamin D
7.Check your vitamin A intake.  Large doses (25,000 IU's for an adult) of vitamin A have been found to block vitamin D.
8.If you still have aches and pains after getting your vitamin D to 50, try getting it to 80.  If you still have aches and pains, try guaifenesin per Dr. St. Amand's protocol at http://www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com (he is a UCLA doctor)
9.Lastly, work with a myotherapy specialist who is certified in the Bonnie Pruden Method.  I just met one last week, and everyone who she worked on got at least temporary relief, all of whom had fibromyalgia, including some who had already gotten a lot of relief from using guaifenesin.
10. If your TSH is high, and T4 is low, ask your doctor for an iodine deficiency urine test and check how much you're getting in your diet; you may need iodine or thryoid med's -- your doctor should be able to help with this
