Same problem here! My 4-year old will only eat fruit (bananas, apples & grapes) but will not touch vegetables at all! I try to mask them with cheese, sneak them in the sauce, but he still will not touch them! I have him on vitamin supplement and also give him Fruitables juice since it's supposed to have veggies added. I am at a loss there. Moreover, my 13 month old will not even try grown-up food! I tried everything to get him to try things, but he gags & vomits up his food. I had to go back to baby food in order to get him to eat. He does love soy milk though! I am at a loss also.
I have a 3 year old and she is bad when it comes to eating period. She is picky. Its hard to get anything down her. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I have a 4 yr old as well who refuses to eat veges. Its like pulling teeth. I have gotten him to eat Cucmbers though he loves his cuckes !!!! and carrots. but OMG I feel lost at times.then my husband gets mad then my 4 yr old gets even my defiant . if ya find a good way let me know
Take him with you to the grocery store, let him pick some of his favorites out :)
Let him help you prepare a meal. They're sometimes more inclined to eat things like veggies/fruits if they had a hand in preparing whatever they are going to eat. The sense of accomplish sometimes can be enough to drive them to eat foods they don't care for :)
Disguise it. Pureed fruits and vegetable can be added to many foods without detection. Add zucchini and carrots to pasta sauce. Put apples and pears in muffins and pancakes.
Make it fun. If kids think they are getting a treat, they may be more inclined to eat fruits and vegetables. Give him something sweet, such as a banana milkshake or sweet potato fries.
Make fruits and vegetables easily accessible. Instead of having a pantry full of chips and cookies, keep a container of cut up fruits and vegetables that your hungry kid can raid when he needs a snack.

Hi, did you check out the show
archives? I know dr. Jim has had
this question a few times and even
made a house call.
