Thanks everyone I will try to keep you all updated. I am on birth control and my doctor said the go onto the next pack so that I would not get my period and I have been doing that for the past 2 months and so far it hasn't helped much.
Please prove me wrong and get your vitamin D level checked. Based on experience of a friend who had with endometriososis since her teenage years, you will still need surgery to correct the endometriosis, and you will also find that you are probably vitamin D deficient or very low. Please, do it, and prove me wrong. I just found 22 studies relating vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency and occurrence of endometriosis. Larissa
My daughter is 25yrs and she was young when we found out she had endometriosis, and for a while they put her on birth control and when it got to the ones she was to take when she was to start her period the doc had her skip those and start a new month. what it did was stop her from having a period and it did work for a while. i don't know if this helps but thought i would pass it on. Friends Pam
Im not too sure what the drug is. With the insurance that my mom has me under it will cut the cost down to $360. The drug basically induces menopause which whould stop the symptoms of the endometriosis.

What's the drug you would need to be injected--is it a new one not covered by insurance?
Melissa.
