Post Comments - H1N1 Vaccine

Dr. Sears, I trust you speak from a place of knowledge.  Why then, did a report just come out stating that there is thimerosol in the H1N1 vaccine?  I have an 18 year old Aspie and a "neuro-typical" 14 year old.  needless to say, i am not getting them the h1n1, even though my 18 year old has asthma as well.  He is high functioning, I don't want to take a chance of having him go backwards.  Please, please check into this again and get the info out to us.  Thank you.

I was wondering I have a 5 month old baby and I am breastfeeding and my 7 year old just came down with Influenza A and they put everyone on Tamiflu and I had one doctor tell me I could take it breastfeeding and that I could give it to my baby and one say they wouldn't but she sayed maybe a peditrician knows more about this with children and I was wondering what your feelings were on this? Is it safe for my baby?

   Thanks

Brandi

thank you dr. sears for the information on the h1n1 vaccine.  you said in 1976 it caused  neurological problems, do you think it could cause dystonia?  there was a girl in the newa that claimed that's what happened to her when she got a flu vaccine (they did not specify which vaccine).  what is your thought on this?  mt dr. said she is a fake.

thank you,

Thank you for posting, Dr. Sears!  I wondered if any of you doctors actually read our blogs or threads.  I know the show is probably filmed before the bulletin board topics are put up.  I feel completely comfortable about the safety of the H1N1 vaccine.  As a health professional, being over 50, and having asthma, I get the flu shot every year and have never had a problem. We are all exposed to toxic ingredients on a daily basis, and God gave us livers to help detoxify these products.  Life is full of experiences where we have to weigh the benefits against the risks.  I think this H1N1 flu has already proven that it is nothing to fool around with. In my city, healthy children and adults have already died from it....And I second the idea of adding a neurologist to the panel since chronic pain, neuro problems, etc. are so prevalent in our society.  Maybe an infectious disease specialist too...or at least on rotating days.

I find it very strange that my DIL is almost 5 months pregnant and her doctor has not suggested either flu shot for her. Also grand-daughter is 11months old and no suggest for her to get a vaccine. What is up with that?

I think the show you did last Monday has changed my mind on getting the H1N1 vaccine.I have COPD,so I feel I ned it.

I have asthma and work at a hospital, my doctor recommended to take the swine flu shot. And took the vaccine Pandermix for 2 days ago. Had some side effects for one day, pain in the head, flu symptoms, muscle pain, throath pain. It`s now been 14 deaths in norway cause of swine flu, most of them was in the risk group but also young and healthy people have also died. I decided to take the vaccine because I won`t risk to end up in respirator or maybe death.
Norewgian goverment recomended that all pregnant and people in risk group take the vaccine, but latley have healthy people got critical ill because of the swine flu, and now recommended that everyone take the vaccine..

Good Morning Dr. Sears -

The H1N1 vaccine isn't in our area yet - keeping fingers crossed that they will have before everyone has it and it spreads like wildfire.

1st - ABSOLUTELY LOVE the show - It is extremely informative, plus I love watching you guys - you all have a wonderfuly sense of humor.  Loved your oyster tasting the other day!  LOL

Have you ever thought about adding a Neurologist to the show's panel - especially with soooooooo many of us out here with either MS, Lupus, Fibro, etc....  It would very helpful or even having one on board once a week?

Thanks for all you do!
