I have a had Stem Cell treatment.  I have been diagnosed with Bulbar.  I went to Keiv in Russia last August.  

Yes, I did read My sister's Keeper...was an excellent book too.  I think it is based on a true story also.

Hey Meliss, i just blogged, Sunnie's grandson has swine flu.  Say a prayer, will you?

They make it sound like it is so easy and never mention cost when talking about it.  I forgot about the money issue.  They knew they needed it ahead of time and it fortunately was a perfect match for their son who's cancer had come back.  Then they got the cord blood out and got the bone marrow from there (which was a perfect match) and he is fine now.  But you're right, it is expensive.

Dear Meliss, It is really useful if you know ahead of time that you are going to need it.  It costs money to keep the cord blood in storage.  So, unless you have extra money or you have a need, it becomes expensive to bank cord blood.  I am hoping it becomes automatic one day because I think we can learn a lot from studying stem cells.
