I agree with everyone here..... just because you're lonely doesn't mean you need to jump into the next available relationship. I did that right out of high school. Got married at 18 and divorced 6 months later....long story... or short ha ha ha. So anyway... been divorced twice but the most learning and growing I've done has been, single. Which I still am. As I've told Lisa, when you least expect it, he'll show up but don't go searching. It doesn't mean you shouldn't go out and mix and mingle as if you don't you won't find anyone except for leading men in the movies you watch ;-)
Don't rely on a guy to make your own happiness, as in the long run he'll get tired of trying to work that extra hard for your happiness. No one is in charge of your happiness but YOU.
Be happy being single, hang out with friends, hang out with yourself. BE HAPPY!

PS in the meantime we can all do what Lisa says and have dreams of Dr. T and his chest hairs that I like so much ;-) but live our lives realistically ha ha ha.
yea, i graduated high school in 08. im still single, i never really even done anything with a girl, not even kiss a girl. i guess i should have taken some action and done something about it when i was in school, but i was always shy or nervous. now ive moved to a town where it seems that every girl my age has a kid, or does drugs and i dont prefer either of which. i cant wait to get out of this town and go back to where i was, and start over and try my best to take action and hopefully find someone special. i just hope it all works out.
Wow, Larry! I'm not quite sure what to say about that... I know I'd like to find the right person too, but I guess If I'm still single by the time I hit 50 (maybe) I'll make a pact with someone in my same situation, to run off and have fun together. LOL
I hope someone special comes into your life, Larry. I'll add you to my prayer list. :)
She's right, don't jump right into a relationship, i've been looking for over 16years now and only dated one woman for a month during that time. Personnally I don't like being single and hope it ends soon.
Aww cheer up hun. Being single has its perks. Don't just jump into a relationship with someone because you are lonely... that's the worst thing you could do. Give it time, he'll pop out of nowhere... well at least that's what people keep telling me. LOL I can tell you I'm tried of the dating scene.. I'd rather be alone than to be stuck with some of the guys I've been on dates with. There are millions of men in this world, if you and I can't find a good one, then trust me, the single life won't be as bad as being with the wrong one for the rest of your life. LOL
Chin up, Dear. I promise he's out there somewhere. Sometimes it just takes awhile to find each other. :)
*hugs*

P.s. Dreaming of Travis in the meantime sounds like a good idea. hehe Good luck, Dear.
Post Comments - is anyone on this site single?
