I am a mother of 10 month old twin, i suffered of eclampsia after the delivery, i delivered on the 38 months, i got swollen on the 4th month but it dissapeared on the 6th month, i had invisible rashes all over my body for the last two months ( i was itchy like hell but nothing is seen) , all my blood tests were perfect ,,,,,, after two hours of my c section.. i had bp 220/150 , I fainted and had a cardio arrest .... but thanks god i survived this.... my babies were in perfect health ...
Eclepmsia is an unknown threat to pregnant women.... after this i went through deep deppression and i am just starting to get over it...
I suffered from preeclampsia in my second pregnancy and sixth pregnancy but fourth child. The first time I delivered at 34 weeks and she stayed in the NICU for 2weeks my fourth child I had her at 38 weeks but had to have an er c-section. I started bleeding out and fainted. This disease has scared me. My first and third pregnancy I had no symtoms of preeclampsia.
I also had severe preeclampsia although the doctors that I had never knew it until I was in labor. I was gaining up to 12 pounds in two weeks and they said that it was a normal weight gain. Then one time my doctor was out so I saw a midwife and she told me that I was obese. Just want I wanted to hear from the words of someone I just met. I was always a skinny person weighing at most 130 pounds. But when the end of my pregnancy came I was a whopping 210 pounds. I have only lost 50 and am still trying to lose the rest. I have no idea how the weight gain became so out of hand. The doctors said that I was fine because there was no protien in the urine and that my migraines were just migraines and passing out was just too much stress even though I didn't have to be at work more than 30 minutes before passing out. Kind of scary when you don't know much about the disease and what could happen. Now that I am aware of it I am passing the knowledge around but there are so many people out there that do not even know what preeclampsia is and what it can do to a person. I was in labor for 22 hours and then they did a STAT C Section because the babies amd mine heartbeats were dropping. Very stressful...

I had severe preeclampsia in my first pregnancy and delivered at 27 weeks. My daughter had severe IUGR and weighed only 1lb 1oz. She lived for 19 days. The only symptoms I had were vomiting starting at the 14th week and very mild swelling in hands and face. My blood pressures were normal up until 7 days before delivery and never got much above the upper limits of normal. The reason for immediate delivery was due to the severe IUGR and my daughters heartrate dropping into the 50's. Also my protein was 2,700. I did have a second baby 8 months ago and was on vitamin b12, b6, folic acid, prenantal vitamins and lovenox injections. I did not develop preeclamsia again until my 34th week and kept it under control on bedrest and htn meds until my delivery at 36 weeks!

SEcond I had twins at 28 weeks...they did great though....I never suffered from any swelling though just extremely high blood pressure that they couldn't control after 6 day in hospital....I had headaches too....I was the first and only person in my family this happened to......
