I have heard that the dark circles under your eyes is a sign that you have alllergies to something. I also have these dark circles but have not yet found out what I may be allergic to.

I have dark circles......I've always been borderline anemic but recently, my Dr. told me I was anemic, so I think that is one cause.  Now for the cure........I've tried many concealers.... Estee Lauder Ideal Light brush on illuminator in the "soft pink" shade.  You have to be careful with it because when you turn the tube, it releases the product onto the brush and too much comes out.  To get it started, you have to turn it a lot, but after the first use, just turn it very little when you need to get more on the brush......and USE VERY LITTLE each time.....but it really does a good job of concealing.   And Benefit has some good products for concealing also, but I think the Estee Lauder product is better.   A~

Hi, just have a further tip on how to conceal it. I came across this make-up artist on youtube who does make-up tutorials and she has a great tutorial on concealing dark circles under eyes step by step. I tried it today and it made a huge difference. I looked younger and fresher in seconds!!! Search her on youtube: kandee the makeup artist.

Hi, I have the same problem as this and tend to use concealer as a quick fix but the problem could also be dehydration. I'm not sure if you drink plenty of water or not but I don't and have tried increasing this and have found the dark circles to be less visible. Drinking too much tea/coffee can cause dehydration so could be undoing the hydration that the water does for the body. Hope this helps.

I've had dark circles under my eyes my entire life. I've used products that help lighten the circles. It's the same products older women use on age spots. It actually lightens those areas but it doesn't go away completely. You can get it removed permanently by a plastic surgeon, dermatologist or some other doc who has the laser equipment. I've been told that the laser treatment feels like someone is snapping rubber bands at your face. It hurts but the pain is very temporary and the intense pain does not last more than a few minutes and by the next day, no pain at all.

On the 9/8/09 show they said to use potatoes in some way...don't recall what to do with them.  But personally, I decided that make up is just a quick-fix, can rub off etc during the day.  So I just deal with the ones i have.  They are really only prominent when I haven't gotten enough sleep.  It runs in the family too I found out.  I appreciate all the comments and welcome more but right now I am just going to try to pay more  attn to sleep and see if it makes a difference.

I thought it was potatoes?  I could be wrong but I could have sworn they mentioned that during the dark circles segment.
