I am a 41 Year old female who was also diagnosed with moderate pseudotumorceribri (intracranialhypertension is another word used for it) in sept 2011. If you goole these names you can find lots of info that may help you. I can give you general info on the disease. There is no cure and really no reason for the disease. They have linked it to some medications and obesity and illnesses. Basicaly as you know your body produces spianl and brain fluid. For patients that have this they either produce too much or their boday cannot get rid of it fast enough. Your brain has a small area of space and if too much fluid it causes pressure. This pressure can cause severe headaches (the only symptom I do not have) nausea, loss of peripheal vision, swelling and inflamation of the brain and or optice nerves, Blurred vision, double vision, ringing in the ears, sound of heart beat in ears, blind spots, and vision loss. This needs to be treated as perminent vison loss can happen. It is treated by medications and sometimes surgery,  (shunt) and removal of excess spinal fluid. Once you have this you always will. If you ignore it, it will not go waya and can cost you your sight. I myself had fluid removed and helped with the vison problems however it has come back. Due to not having health care my resources are limited for treatment. ER is only option when it gets bad. If you google you should be able to find lots of info. If you have this it needs to be treated a neurologist is who you need to help you along side with an opthamologist. If you have anymore questions please ask. I will do my best to answer them and if I cant link you to where you can get the ones you need. I my self and you are 2 in the 10 out of 100,000 who develope this disease. Take care of you and your sight.

Sorry to hear of your illness. I don't know anything about Pseudo Tumor Ceberli. However, I do suffer from constant pain with Migraine, muscle tension, and stress headaches. What do you do for pain relief? My best answer to you is to seek a good doctor. I would think a Neurologist. SusanneAngelina Hope today is a better day for you. Take care and try to think positive thoughts. I will pray for you.

I NEVER HEARD OF THAT AILMENT BUT I WILL TRY TO FIND OUT SOME INFO FOR YOU. WHAT TYPE OF MEDS ARE YOU ON. THE SYMPTOMS YOU DESCRIBE SOUND LIKE ONES FOR MIGRAINES. AS SOON AS I FIND SOMETHING I WILL LET YOU KNOW. TAKE CARE.

I couldn't find anything on what you wrote but there is information on Pseudo Tumor Cerebella to be found.  The spelling is different but it sounds about the same.

Best of luck and God Bless

Kathy
