I have a baby that is 5 months old and I am breastfeeding and my son just got diagnosed with Influenza A we are getting the shot today but the doctor said I could start everyone on Tamiflu except I have one doctor I go to tell me I could with breastfeeding and give it to my baby and I had one doctor tell me she didn't know enough about young children like that to have it to reccommend that to me. Do you know is it ok for a 5 month old and for me and the baby to take it?

I agree with you 1000%! Every year there is a new strain of flu virus. A few years ago I got Influenza A and was terribly sick, same with a lot of other people. I am sure a few died from it. A few people die every year from some strain of flu and there is always, what seems like a lot of people missing work/school at one time. It will be a dfferent strain next year! As Susan Powter said, "Stop the Insanity!" It's just the flu! Not to take it too lightly, be cautious, but not paranoid!
