could someone help me find a doctor in michiganthat does Permalip implants in the lips.  I've been looking for months an no luck  :(

Any surgery has risks and gee in my opinion, unless it is necessary treatment I would simply avoid!

I just scheduled a consultation for the permalip implants. I am really worried about how my lips will look after the surgery and how long I will have to stay couped up in the house. What does your face/lips look like during the 2 weeks after surgery? Can you see the stitches? Is the bruising, swelling, and stitches extremely noticable to other people? Thanks!

Dr. Ordon or Anyone who has had Permalip done:  I am freaking out. I had my Permalip in 5 days ago and look like a trout. I had small lips and had the 5mm put in. I also think my top implant might be placed to high. Do you recall if yours look the same. I am so upset. Im obsessively icing and taking all my beds. I am brusied pretty bad on the underside of my lip but cant seem to locate pictures and different stages to determine if Im overreacting. Any help please!!

If you want to add pictures to your profile you can go up to COMMUNITY then choose VIEW PROFILE. On that page you will see ADD A PHOTO.  That will bring up a new page. Click BROWSE, then find the picture on your computer that you wish to upload and then click OPEN.  Then click CREATE.  You will have the option to add a title, TAGS, and a Description to each photo.  You will also have the option to make this photo your PROFILE PICTURE.  

To upload pictures in any post, you can click the small icon that looks like a tree at the top of the message box. It will open a window where you can upload a picture and then insert it into your post. You can also choose a photo that you have already uploaded to insert into your post.

I will be happy to post a pic once i am healed completely. Actually none of my friends have noticed anything. It's just me that keeps staring at my lips because you know the implants are there. Can a pic be added by clicking on any of the icons in the "add comments" section?

Yes, I had the first set of implants in the picture, but I think that picture was taken after I also had a bit of filler put in along the vermillion border. Now with the second set I will get the fullness without having to do the filler as well. :)

I hope you will post a photo once you are finished healing...I would love to see! :)

Hi Jayce101.  I went to my surgeon this morning, and he assured me that my lips will soften as scar tissue forms around the implants, so a few more weeks.  Actually, my lips are still very tender if I press on them too hard.  My Dr. said to sort of massage them a bit.  So, all in all, I'm very happy and I think it will all be fine.  Do you have the first implants in the pic you are showing? Your lips look really good!

Nope, I doubt he injected it...it's typically done in advance b/c it takes some time for the filler to dissolve. I believe I had it injected a couple of weeks beforehand when I first got the implants.

I am not peeling this time, but the first time...did I ever! I remember my lips shed in one whole piece...I took photos b/c I was so amazed! ;) Try Vitamin E capsules; stick a pin in the end and squeeze out some of the E oil and put that on your lips...works like a charm! Plus, it looks like a super shiny gloss for your newly plumped lips....hot! ;)

If the Dr did it, i was out and didn't know about it.  I am going to see him tomorrow and I'll ask. Yikes! That could mean I will have this for a much longer period of time than I planned.  Are your lips peeling? Mine keep peeling and are dry. I have to keep moistening them.
