I did my daughter ears when they were 6 months old.  One is 6 and the other is 5 now and they still have them pierced, they love it!

You should not pierce a baby's ears.  Wait till 4th or 5th grade, when girls start piercing their ears.  Some mothers in school frown upon earrings on little girls.  4th or 5th grade starts being acceptable so you don't need the judgements.  My sister always said babies with earrings look like gypsy babies.  Some little kids wear gold jewelry and it looks ridiculous!!!

If it were me, I would not get them pierced until they were older, IF they wanted that.

When she's old enough to decide if she WANTS her ears pierced might be good.
