Well this diet is doing more than shrinking my body. My labwork came in much better than before. While I am still considered to have high cholesterol my totals went from 435 to 274. It is only my bad cholesterol that is still in the bad range. This after only 80 days of a different attitude towards what I eat. My doctor didn't even want to hear about the diet. He was happy to hear that I was going to a gym & that I was doing cardio & weight lifting as my workout. He said he doesn't believe in diets. That was funny to me because he himself used Medifast to lose weight years ago. Now he runs to maintain hs weight. He wanted me to go on a statin. I have been on them in the past & never liked them. I asked for 6 months to show him I can get the numbers in check with my diet & my omega 3-DHA supplements. Once I get through cycle 1 again & can eat my oatmeal again it will help me even more. I add ground flaxseed to it & I am eating more tuna & salmon too. I hate how doctors shrug off any suggestion that you can fix yourself with the foods that you eat. I swear they all havea vested interest in the drug companies. If my numbers changed that much in 80 day after 34 pounds lost I bet they will be even better after I lose the next 30.

congratulations...and food does help with the numbers...my blood pressure the last time i got checked was normal...mind you i am on blood pressure pills but she feels the diet is also contributing...no salt, so bad fats, no junk food...which didn't help in the past...
i think doctors have a share in drug companies...you go...you show your doctor that it can be done...i am rooting for you...
