I think there is a conspiriacy with the medical field and the pharmacy. It seems every time I go get a new prescription it is not covered under my insurance.
I went today for another opinion on my shingles. I never broke out. I have one tiny bump and nothing more.
Anyway, my doctor told me it really was shingles, but I was having the nerve pain without the rash. He put me on 2 different meds. One he had a sample of since I only need a week of the 2 and the other I got filled, generic brand for $167.69! I thought hubby would stroke out on me. But in order to kill the virus I need this meds.
So, you can have shingles with no rash, but the pain was killing me for 12 days. I could no long take it all day. I don't know why the other doctor made me wait when he could have given me the prescriptions last week and I would not have suffered for 12 days.
I feel better today than I have in 2 weeks, but the drug companies need to COME DOWN ON THEIR PRICES!! Retired people barely make it from month to month as it is and now this just took more of our savings.
I'm through ranting now.
Linda

Can you get a generic?
Melissa.
So happy you have some relief. I agree, dealing with the medical field and pharmacy's is so frustrating.
I am so sorry for your pain!
