It is confirmed...........I have the beginning of shingles. The terrible pain will last another 10 days and then the rash will come. That will be bad. It will go from front to back and be a rash, then blisters, then scab over.
I will be on the pain pills (he only gave me 10) and then just hope for the best. I will try to only take them at night so I can rest and get some sleep.
Last night was the worst so far. The horrible burning, stinging pain. He said as soon as the rash appeared come back. This is not my usual doctor, but a walk in clinic he sends overflow to. I can't see him until next week but can't wait any longer.
I will try to keep you posted on it all.
He did all kinds of lab and x rays, so he is pretty sure it is shingles and nothing more.

Oh Linda, Wow. I'm really sorry to hear this. You poor thing. How awful for you. I haven't had them but I have taken care of people with them. My heart just ached for them. They always seemed to be in so much pain. The ladies I took care of were on a pain patch. Will your doctor give you one? Diana
I have never had chicken poxs,I am wondering if I need to look into the vaccine for shingles since I am getting older. What do you think?
