Jillian is ruining the show!

What do we have to do to get through to the producers? Jillian has NO business as a host. It is dangerous to substitute her OPINION as fact. She is not an expert on medical issues and it clearly shows. I could go on and on about her rude, loud, abrasive personality. Of her fake caring. But as a medical professional I just can't wrap my head around having her on a show titled THE DOCTORS! Come on, it's just common sense, she needs to go!

I'm not a medical professional but I totally agree with you.

I agree 100%. All the doctors have wonderful bed side manners but Jillian-is like a bull in the ring. Secondly, she is not an expert. I resent the producers giving her the title Health and Wellness Expert. For crying out loud- she is physical trainer. If the viewers stop watching then maybe the producers will get the message.

Ladeedah .... I thought the same thing when I saw below her name 'Health and Wellness expert' or whatever the phrase.

Mrs. Medic- My best guess is that she was added to the show in an effort to boost ratings; although, I can't imagine that the ratings were suffering in the first place, since this USED to be an EXCELLENT show, with much loyal viewer support and following, so it continues to defy reasoning!

In a previous comment on this site, I had mentioned that I had once been told that this is a common practice in the "world of TV".  A show will introduce an "antagonist", in an effort to attract additional, curious viewers, and/or viewers whom the producers have determined are already existing "fans" of the "antagonist".  I have no way to verify this information one way or the other so, it is, of course, hearsay, but I assume- and it would not surprise me-  that there is some truth to this, and a practice such as this is utilized; it sounds plausible, anyway!

However, in my opinion, it seems that it did not occur to anyone involved in the decision-making process that it was a complete contradiction to add a NON-doctor to a show entitled The DOCTORS, and most especially a non-doctor with such an abrasive, ill-mannered, and controversial personality that it would then be difficult to attempt to "endear" her to the majority of the viewers!  In other words, someone should be saying a big "OOPS" right now!!!

I agree. She is too agressive. She is inflexible and pushy. There is a need for a nutritionist/health specialist on the show but she chimes in on subjects that are not in her expertise at all. Her manner is extremely agressive and abrasive, this might be apropriate in extreme workout situations but not on a freindly informational show. She can have a mean way about her words, in the past putting her cast members down for ever getting her children fast food is just not realistic. Even though Jillian doesn't have her own kids she should be empathetic to a busy mom's world. She should educate herself to the average person's lifestyle and daily needs. She acts like a little kid who thinks she knows everything and its unprofessional. She should either be reigned in or removed from the show. I find myself changing the chanel when she is ranting or chiming in where she doesn't belong.

I wouldn't even call Jilian a nutrition expert.  She isn't a dietitian, just gives OPINIONS on what to do.

What is your definition of an "expert", she has 4 best selling books on wellness and nutrition, and has lead hundreds's of thousands of people to a healthier life by educating them on nutrition and exercise and she has probably made more money doing it than all the "doctors" on the show combined. Yes, she is also a physical trainer, do you know everything that is involved in becoming a physical trainer to the degree that she has achieved? You don't like her because she is opinionated, and loud but I would bet anything that she has the facts to back up her opinions. All the hosts give their opinions on various subjects based on their own knowledge. I started watching "The Dr's" because Jillian is on there and I have quit watching "Biggest Loser" (although I do miss Bob), it isn't worth watching anymore. I'm sure she hits a nerve with those of you who don't like her becasue she "steps on your toes", and much of the things she says rings true!

I personally am not motivated by the bulldog approach to fitness.  Most clients respond to caring, attentive professionals - not someone yelling and screaming at them. Research proves that emotional eaters respond better when they address their issues than someone yelling at them about their behavior. Dr. Oz discussed this last week with a man who was 400 Ibs. He was firm with him but not overbearing and aggressive. The doctors are calm, yet firm when they discuss their views about particular issues. However, Jillian is like a bulldozer--she lacks tact and gracefulness. I think the producers where trying something new to see how it would turn out. They miscalculated this one because people are pretty upset and the show is losing loyal viewers. Their changes should have been subtle -- like the various set changes and scenarios.

Well, I hope the producers will wake up and see the mistake they've made...
