Hello
so I have this belly button hernia and it's been with me since I was little as I grew up it started to make me uncomftable because of the way it looks,, it's not really big but still a little outtie,, I went to see a sergical to see if I needed to do a surgery but he said he wouldn't recommend it for me as I don't need one really and am too young for that even though am 21 years old but he says it may come back if I ever got married and had kids,, I have some discomfert with it but not as much as the looks.
my bigger brother had the same problem but as he grew old his started to go away.
so should I just go with it or not?
and is it okey for me to do sports and setups and would it help?

I myself have had 3 stomach hernia surgeries. The first one being a pre-umblical hernia. When I got up in the morning I was fine. As the day went on it started feeling like someone was constantly kicking me in the gut. I gave brth to my son then 1 month later I was having sugery for the hernia. Then after I had my daughter again I had another hernia. Which ended up bigger than the first one. Then the third one was the biggest one from lifting things that were just to heavy. My point is if you feel like you shouldn't let it go or your in pain it needs to be taken care of. Also if it gets strangulated. You'll see a blueish/ purplish color in the area that is also cause for alarm. That could be life threating. Is it always no, but something to watch for. Thats what my surgerion told me to. If you don't like that surgerions answers, get a second opionion. The pre-umblical sugery is no big deal they go through your belling button to fix it. The incision is like an inch long if that.Hope that helps. :-)
