Colonial Mom's is designed for active mommies looking for playdates and activities for their little ones (ages 0-5) around Williamsburg and the surrounding areas.  Just as importantly, it is intended to give us adults opportunities to meet and socialize with other moms.  Weekly events are posted on the calender, but every member is encouraged to schedule and host their own event(s).  Activities include home and park playdates; picnics; walks; storytimes; visits to fire houses, farms, theme parks, zoos, gardens, museums, etc.

Group Goals:
The groups main goal is to create a caring support network of moms who understand the struggles of motherhood.  (It is easier to talk to other moms about our issues because they are going through the same things).  We also wish to provide play and learning activities for our children.

Topics we're interested in are:

• Keeping your sanity during the transition from career lady to a stay-at-home mom
• Putting your career on hold to rear your kids
• The Great Conspiracy: Nobody said they were so much work
• Forgetting yourself when you become a mom
• Reaching out to other moms for survival
• How kids change a marriage and what to do about it
• The best and worst things about being a mom
• Creating a local mom's groups in your area
• Mommy make-overs! (Very much needed)
