Dear Amy, congratulations on your beautiful baby.  I am recently divorced.  My ex said to me, Aren't they giving the flu vaccine in Nassau County?  Ah, so direct.  I said I am not getting them the h1n1 and he said, I am talking about the regular flu vaccine.   My son has never had a flu shot even though he has asthma.  I said that and Ex said, there has never been a pandemic before.  My son said the pandemic is H1N1.  I am not getting my asthamtic son the H1N1 shot because I don't know enough about it to make an informed decision.  i am going to call his Dr, and ask, and follow her advice about whether or not he gets the regular flu shot.  Talk to your dr. and trust them, they have way more knowledge than we do.  Good luck.  Bobbie

Thank you !  I'm not saying that I'm 100 % against my son getting it.  But like you said we just don't know enough about it.
