I am a 26 year old and I have Endometriosis.  I found out I had it about 7 years ago and have been strugglinh with it since.  I have been on every single birth control you could think of, even the depot shot. None of those worked, just masked the pain a bit.  I have had 2 surgeries and just finished my Lupron shot I took every month for six months.  I have found that the surgeries work for about a couple months then pain comes back.  My last try was the Lupron shot which was great for the 6 months during.(excepy menopause symtoms and acne)  Sure I had some pain but not bad.  Now I have been off of it for 6 months and all the pain is coming back.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I don't know what to do anymore since I have tried everything.  My last result is another surgery but who likes that.  Me and my husband are trying to get pregnant and that is a struggle.  Maybe a mind thing because I have been told since I was 16 that I may never have children due to high testosterone.  I also have really bad bowls, bladder, and back pain due to my endo.  I am frustrated and hate this disease.  I wish more people understood this disease and it was more public.  There are too many women out there either struggling with it or not even knowing they have it.  I am just not knowing how to deal with this pain anymore!!!!!!!!  Does anyone have any other suggestions????

Hello ther---

I am 29 years old and have had 25 surgeries in four years time to lasar off the endo. And every two to three months later have another one. It was 10 days before my 26th birthday when I had a full hysto. I have had 9 miscarrages. And YES I have one wounderful 6 year old boy!!!! I went thought different birth controls and shots and even the Shot for 2 years of Lupron, too. Me and my husband where giving up on having any kids. And that is when it happened!! I went in to have a sono to measure something to have my hysto and found out that I was pregro. I was so HAPPY, I jumped off the table and started crying. I was on bedrest the whole time, and our son tried to come out at 4 months and then again 6 months or I spent my last 3 months in hospital. And Brock Allen come 5 weeks early but healthy!!!  So the only thing I can say is don't give up!!! It will happen!!! If you need to talk just email me @

Stay strong!!!!

Have you checked your progestone levels? I had the same thing and cysts all over my repodutive organs and check the levels and now everything is fine. Try it. Only a blood test.

I had endometriosos it started when i was 16 , I had pain so bad that they assumed it was my appendixs, so they rushed me into surgery thinking that what was wrong and it turned out it was endometriosis not my  appendixs, but they took them out anyway.   So every year for the next 15 years I would go into surgery and have it lasered off, to ease the pain , and it did work.  I also was told that i would never have kids, due to scarring and the endo, but thank the lord i now have two beautiful boys, the second one i had to go to an infertility specialists to get him.  After the birth of my second child , I had a total Hysterectomy.  So it is possible to have children, just forget about trying and it will happen.  Try getting a Basil Body Thermometer, and recording your temperature before you get up in the morning  and record it on the graph that comes with the Thermometer and you will know exactly when you are ovulating, that is how i did it and it worked.  Good Luck ,

Thank you sooo much for all of your comments.  It really helps to hear from others who are going through the same thing.  And also hear that there is hope for children in the future.  I am going in for one more surgery now hopefully in a few months and get rid of some of the pain.  Then we will continue to try and get pregnant.  I have a year then my gyno will do infertility drugs.   It is just nice to hear from you and know that everything can be alright and your stories are soo positive!! Thank you again!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 32 and I have been suffering from endometriosis for more than 12 years.  I have had two surgeries to remove the lesions and also 2 sets of lupron shots that last six months.  My last surgery was two weeks ago and my doctor mentioned to me to research some diet changes.  One main thing that I have found was that foods that contain wheat, and caffine can cause the endometriosis to flare up.   I have just recently began a wheat free, gluten free, and also hormone free diet and I haven't felt better.  There is a cookbook out there for all of us who suffer from endometriosis it is called Recipes for the Endometriosis Diet.  I found this book and information on what foods to eliminate at www.endo-resolved.comI have only been on this diet for two weeks but I feel a whole lot better.  Please check this out and I hope that this works just as well for all of you.
