Hello everyone, I am wondering if I can get some feed back on painful bunions and surgery options. I have had my bunion on my left foot since I was a teenager, now in my late 40's it has enlarged greatly and causes os much pain. I have always had to buy my shoes in wide because of this but now getting the wide shoe is not helping much. I stand on my feet all day with my work and also walk on a treadmill 3 times a week. I am not thinking of having possibly having surgery to correct this. I would appreciate any feed back on what some options are for this. Thanks!

Someone I know just had surgery for hers to be removed. She said the pain was only bad the first few days...recovery time is 6 weeks. I think the doctors did a show on a newer proceedure that may have less down time but am not sure if I am remembering that right?
Thank you, I will have to find out if there is a newer procedure with less down time, that would be great, I am on my feet fulltime with my job so 6wks is is a long recovery time.
