My name is Mary.   I absolutely love being a grandmother of two girls and two boys (and of course a mom to my two sons).

I love to sing.   I'm in the church choir and I also do solos.   Soprano is my game and I can reach a high B flat.  I only like to sing and/or listen to Christian music.

I started a project with Counted Cross-Stitching about 10 years ago.   I'm making Christmas stockings for my sons, their wives, and the grandchildren.   I've had to set it aside because I have a hard time concentrating, so my prayer is that I have them complete before I am a great-grandmother!

My skills are administrative and accounting.   I'm a Type A perfectionist....oh, you could tell that?  :)  We have our own business and I take care of the books and do all the tax forms each month/quarter/year end.  Thankfully we have a CPA who takes care of us at the end of the year for all the stuff that Uncle Sam wants.   I worked for one company 25.5 years before they put me on a medical early retirement.   My last 15 years of tenure there was in Human Resources as the assistant to the Director.  Wow, we could always tell when there was a full moon - honestly!   We would get the strangest phone calls!

I am a SURVIVOR of childhood sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.   I had a breakdown on Dec 28, 2002.   I'm still on a lot of meds and still in weekly therapy.   However, I am getting better and better in many ways.   I also have trouble with fibromyalgia, diverticulitis, and high cholestorol. 

I don't particularly like to iron or cook.   My poor husband of 36 years sometimes lets me know that is totally unacceptable.   I tell him a lot of men like to iron their own shirts and a lot of men like to cook.   Guess he wasn't made from the same mold as those other men were.   We manage and often cook together.   I still get the ironing job but it sure hurts to stand at an ironing board.
