One Day at a Time with Marne

Me at 185.2I'm waiting on the book like alot of you. I will not wait on my life though. I'm learning the site and still have a lot to learn. I'm doing great on my weight loss. Jan. 6th - 185.2: Jan. 7th -184.3: Jan. 8th - 181.7.

I have never done a blog before so I will have to wing it. I will be using it to list things that work for me and things that don't. I will post my exercise and meals so I can look back and see where there is room for improvement.

Jan. 6th I watched the show and just watched what I ate along with exercise.

Jan. 7th I ate the foods that someone was kind enough to list. I'm sure the book will help a lot more in this area. I worked out for 17 minutes with the just dance 2 on the wii.

Jan. 8th I off to a great start. Breakfast was eggs, orange, green tea and water. Lunch was tuna, lettuce, carrots, green tea and water. I'm going to eat my apple now before 2. Dinner is a chicken taco salad, green tea and water. I will get the rest of my water in during the day. Work-out 17 minutes just dance 2.

Jan, 9th

I learned that eatting late is not a good idea. I did not have dinner until after 8pm last night. I stayed the same in weight. I know I had a nice drop the day before and that could make a difference, but I will set a goal of trying to eat before 6 for dinner from now on. I have been doing really well with the foods that I know we can eat. Exercise is going well and I will change it today to 17 minutes on the bike. I'm doing very well with the whole soda thing, I was going through over 6 cans a day....I'm now at 2. I will work on getting down to the 1 soda a day and my goal there is to only have one when we are out for an event with friends.

Jan. 10th it is Monday and I really look forward to this week. I have found that in the morning I can't wait to get on the scale. Still working on the soda, but doing very well. My other goal is to get all my meals done before 6pm. Yesterday I made it.  Mondays are going to be different around here like it or not. On Monday nights my hubby gets together with a bunch of guys for garage night. They hang out and talk about cars. I have the ladies over here and we watch old chick flicks. We have in the past had wine, cheese, crackers ect. Tonight for chick-flick monday it is a veggie tray and lemon water...boy will they be surprised....LOL  Ok so here are my weights so far.

Jan. 11th - I'm feeling more like I need the book more than ever. I have questions and know the book will help with them. Like yesterday I had a great day and then friends came over in the evening....they showed up before I could get my dinner. After they left it was after 9 and I really didn't want to eat then. I had a loss but I think it could have been better if I could eat on time. Still will work on that for a goal. The goal of cutting back on the soda is going great. I would get up in the morning and go straight for that can. Yesterday it was 2pm before I thought about it. Well another busy day I will start now with my exercise and then off to the hospital for the day while my sister has surgery. I will bring my lunch and afternoon snack with me.   Oh and today is a big day for me ....I made it to the 170's.

Jan. 12,   I'm doing very well with the soda now only 1-2 a day and hope to be down more next week. I will be increasing the intensity of my work- outs today. I'm going to also work on a plan for being away from the house tomorrow. I will need to be creative to get in all my exercise and it will be a challenge to eat right. I really want this though and I know it is working....so bring on the challenge.

I had a very busy day at my daughters store today. I was helping out for the day. I did alot of planning yesterday so I would be able to stick with the diet. I got up early so I got my exercise in before I went. I packed my snack. Lunch was ordered...I took the turkey off my sandwich and added it to the salad. I still had a brownie, dill pickle, kettle chips and the best looking bakery bread I've ever seen. I did not eat any of it...:). Good for me... The only down part of today was I did not get home until 9:15pm and still had not had supper. I had a salad and I'm really worried that is going to show up on the scale tomorrow.

I need to figure out this site too. I'm impressed by all those logos next to your name.  IT sent me some instructions as to where I can find info on how to start until my book arrives.

Last weigh in 156.8 on Friday.  I'll weigh for an official start on Monday.

Since I don't have the book, I'll follow your lead.  Tell me about the eggs (how many?)  How did you prepare the tuna and taco salad?  You must have had other snacks or you would have been starving.  How did you handle that?  Please get back to me so I can be ready for tomorrow morning.  I surely have eggs and an orange in the house for tomorrow morning's breakfast.

I'll check back on the log tonight at midnight when I get home from work.

ddonnelly, Thank you for catching that typo. I still don't know how to do the Blog thing as you can see.

Breakfast is 2 eggs whipped with a fork, I micro. for 30 sec. stir and repeat until done....about 90 sec. I have my green tea, hot water with lemon and one small apple. My lunch is just 1/2 a can of tuna on letttuce with salsa and a few baby carrots. It is simple and I have not been hungry yet. I did get a headach last night, but sure that is from cutting back so much on the diet pepsi.   I look forward to hearing from you,      Marne
