Vitamins

Good afternoon everyone,

Recently I have become dedicated to my health. Working out, eating better and taking a multivitamin. But lately I have this metallic taste. Especially when during a workout. I feel confident it’s a over load of vitamins. So I will change my vitamin intake to every other day. Maybe this will help. Has anyone else had this happen?

Great job on getting into a healthy life style. I have heard if you get this taste in your mouth it is to much magnesium in your system. I know I am taking vitis now and boy do I feel better. I went to gnc and bought vitis for my age and in a packet with all I need. It is working great for me. Good luck

I have experienced a metallic taste in my mouth before, but for me it has always had to do with my ears. Sometimes it would come after surgery, when the nerves were swelling. To this day I do not have taste on one side of my tongue and a metallic taste on the other side as a result of ear problems.

I too have taken the healthy life challenge starting about 4 years ago.  I know that some medications and some vitamins can leave a metalic taste in your mouth.  Your best bet is to talk with your pharmacist about all that you are taking as far as prescription medications and vitamins, and see if s/he can tell you what is causing it.  If so, there may be an alternatiave for you that will make your life more flavorful :)
