autism

I would like to see Dr. Max Wiznitzer on the doctors to explain autism. He is a pediatric neurologist who has been specializing in autism over 20 years.  He can be found at Children's Rainbow Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. If you don't know who he is, here is a link to see his information.  http://casemed.case.edu/dept/neurology/Wiznitzer.html  Bring on Dr. Max!!!

I can't answer the vote cause I think it might be all 3 of the above that plays a part in autism.

definitely genetics play a significant role, although the increasing incidence in autism among children is ongoin. Mercury content in vaccines?

My 4 year old son has a mild for of autism.  We have had him genetically tested and he doesn't have enough glutathione in his system to get rid of the toxins we come into contact with every day and the horrible preservatives that are in vaccines.  He was not born with autism.  My 2 year old has the same genetic disposition and is not up to date with his vaccinations.  He is smart and has been talking since he was very young.  So, in my case it is all three.

If anyone has done their research lately, there isn't any mercury in the vaccines. Many studies have been done in other countries on mercury poisonings with large populations of people. None of those people have autism. The research is out there and available for anyone to read. People need to read for themselves. Please check out Dr. Max Wiznitzer and see what he has to say about autism and the vaccines. If you have an opportunity to see him at a conference, please do it. It will be the best autism education you will find in the country and I have been to conferences for the past 11 years. Well worth your time.

Lisa, I have two boys, 3and a half years apart.  They are both mine and my husbands.  They both had the same vaccinations.  My older son has Asperger's Syndrome.  My younger son does not.  There is no compelling evidence that vaccines cause autism.  My boys were raised together in the same home, the same way.  I think people have to realize that if we stop vaccinating our children, we are going to have an outbreak of measles, mumps, rubella, etc.  That scares me more than having a child who is mildly autistic when my son has been helped with patience and a mild anti-depressant.  We need to continue doing research which i totally advocate,                    Have a great day.  Bobbie

Bobbie,

You are the perfect mom to represent these children. You understand the needs of your child, your boys have gone through everything the same, and unfortuately one has a neurological disorder of autism. You aren't focusing on the cause, you are doing the most important thing you can do, help your child move forward and give him the tools he needs to function as a child and adult. I fully believe we should keep researching, but the main focus should be, what helps these children move on. Every child is different and not one method of teaching works for all. Keep up the great work you are doing Bobbie. You are the best person to speak out for you child.

Did anyone read my comment?

I read your comment Tomain. I can't say that oneyone else has. I'm sorry that you have one child with a neurological disorder of autism and the other doesn't. Are you going to avoid vaccinating your second child because you belive it is the shots? Not vaccinating your second child is going to leave him vuneralbe to so many illnesses that could be potentially dangerous. Your focus needs to be giving your child with autism the tools he needs to move foward and having a productive life. If you need help moving past the thoughts of the vaccinations, try doing research for yourself about mercury and the studies that have been done around the world. If you spend so much time focusing on blaming someone or something, you are going to missing so much precious time with your son and seeing what a wonderful boy he really is. I hope you can move past the needing to blame and can spend your time enjoying both your boys.

1 in 150 children suffer from autism nowadays. Many of them were not born as such. Might not be the vaccines but i would not take that chance. what is the incidence of rubella, mumps, measles? vaccinate your children, but for the diseases that may be a risk.

not worthy the chance.

love and health to everyone!

I'm not bitter about my child having autism.  He is a blessing to me and has always been my angel baby.  He has come so far with the help of therapy that he doesn't even qualify for summer school this year.  He is an amazing smart child.  I am doing what is best for both my children and I have seen the results of all my efforts.
