Rewarded for focus on staying on diet!

I had one of THOSE weeks, you know, where stress abounds and time to eat right is threatened.  Many times it would have been easier to not eat anything at all or to eat the fast food or the donuts made available at the meetings...I kept my eye on the goal, kept cut up veggies and apples in my purse.  Also carried green tea bags and kept filling up my water bottle.  For all my effort, I was rewarded with another 2.5 pound loss!!!  I would have taken 1 pound, but I am blown away and EVEN MORE MOTIVATED to stay focused!

The best part is that I am under 170!  I haven't been here for 5 years.

I used to hover between 160 and 170.  Then 5 years ago, it  was 170 and 180.  When I was staying pretty close to 180 for several months, I got scared.  I didn't want to hover between 180 and 190, so I started this diet.  I am so happy!

Tell me about it. I had quite a week last week & if I didn't turn to junk then I won't ever again.  I was on an emotional rollercoaster all week & I easily could have either shut down & not eatten or binged like I was never going to get another meal. Thanks largely to this community on this website I was able to keep my focus & move forward. I know that would not have been the case in other days. My reward... is being in first place in a local weightloss competition this week, fitting into jeans I bought last year that ended up being too small, feeling comfortable in all of my clothes now as well as in the seats at the local areana & having soooo much more energy.

Between this site & trying to win the competition (which doesn't end until April 1st) i'd say I have a good chance of getting well below 200 pounds. I started the year at 232 & am now 205. thats 27 pounds in 45 days. & I started the diet 17 days ago!
