After a couple of weeks not loosing anything and feeling swollen with achy joints from the animal proteins I decided to take time out to do the "Master Cleanse" or lemonade cleanse.
About 8 years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Along with that came chronic fatigue and a gouty-type condition. I have never had true gout, just achy swollen joints (somethimes the joint fluid even comes out the ends of my fingers!) Over the years I have periodically done the cleanse. After doing the cleanse for a couple of days my joints feel better and my body aches have let up a bit.
A surprise side benefit to doing the cleanse....it seems to have jump started my weight loss! Now I am on the loosing side again! Saturdays are my weigh-in days so I'll let you know just how well it worked!

I think this would probably be good for my system, but does it help the fibro that much. I have been eating terribly for a long time and need to get myself on a better diet. Ice Cream is my downfall. Do you always do it for 10 days? And are you starving the whole time?
It helps flush the joints and muscle tissues of uric acid. That is what makes that "gouty" arthritis feeling and the crunchy nodules in the muscle tissue. Have you ever read "What your doctor may NOT tell you about fibromyalgia"? by Paul St Amand MD? Best explaination of what is happening in you body I have EVER read! I can only do the cleanse for 3 days, then I need SOMETHING to chew on! I break the cleanse with cleansing fruit....like the ones on the 17 day list. You really don't get too hungry. You just drink the lemonade when you do feel hungry. Let me know how you do if you try it.
I have arthritis and fibro. I am also living a vegan lifestyle. My blood pressure is low, glycemic is normal, temp is normal to low. And yet I weigh just under 300lbs. I just found out that I am hypothyroid. This is the cause of my weight gain and pain most of my life.
Now I'm on the losing side. Still very healthy. And my pain levels are not as severe. Animal flesh contains omega 9 which causes our pain. We need lots of omega 3 to stop the pain. Omega 3 comes in vegetables and grains. I don't eat much so I have to take falx seed capsules to get my omega 3.
This is what works for me. BTW: I am a director of the local fibro support group. I have a lot of great ways to help fight pain and sleep problems.
