About Me
When I was young (til about 25 years of age) I was self-conscious about being too thin. Well, now I am 57 and about 30 lbs overweight. I am basically a vegetarian and usually eat healthy. I have fought my weight for 15 years. I cut back to 1200 to 1500 calories and end up GAINING weight!
I have been the care-giver for my cerebral palsied daughter for the past 28 years. It is very stressful and exhausting. About 5 years ago my doctor did the "spit" test for adrenal function and found my adrenals are shot. So this has been contributing to my battle.
I have always been interested in biology, so the 17 Day Diet Book was right up my alley! It makes so much sense. I also discovered many of the things I thought I was doing right contributed to loosing my fight: eating fruit in the evening for snack, etc.
I am anxious to see what happens on this diet. I plan to stick to it for the rest of my life!

wow! It looks like I was duplicated a few times!
Lakeview is just above Altures, California about an hour. We are about 3 1/2 hours from Redding. We are waaaaay on the east side. You can get great info on Lakeview by googling it. The town website will come up. It is very informative. I really don't like anything on the I5 corridor. We are out on the middle of nowhere. And I love it! You have to be willing to be away from shopping and entertainment here tho.
My dad is in Happy Camp, California....for the third time in his life. I grew up there. It is even more remote than we are here. So, you see, I am a country girl at heart!
Im thinking my next move hopefully sometime this year will be Oregon. Maybe around Roseburg Where is Lakeview? Is it eastern Oregon. I would like to move closer to my kids, but Cal. is so expensive. So Roseburg would be about half the distance it is now.
I love "Mountian High" yogurt. I also use it as a started to make my own yogurt. So I know it has live "bugs" in it. I have basically always been sort of a vegetarian so eating the vegie on the list is easy for me. The hard part is to eat all of the protein. I do alot of steaming as stir fry with out the oil. Also salads with the chicken or fish on top.
Yes, I excersise. I came up with my own "circuit" training. I went to www.goldsgym.com and put in my info and they gave me an excersise routine....it turned out to be just what I was doing.
I am so glad I found something that works, after years of trying to loose weight, and it is ballanced. I rarely feel hungry.
WOW! That is awesome. I would love a friendship with you. I just started today and am looking forward to the same results as you. It is great to know that it really, really works. What kind of yogurt are you eating. I found nonfat but the ingredients list sugar. What else did you eat during the week and did you exercise as well?
