The guidelines debate between IDSA and ILADS is going to be online to watch according to the IDSA website.  It's this next week so I wanted to post it here for you to see now!

It's awful to see that so many of the IDSA panel members have connections with either the insurance companies or pharmaceutical companies (i.e. the drug Lyrica is out there making billions on people who are in pain.) They "need" to keep us sick in order to keep us buying their Lyrica and other new drugs on the market for pain.  If they treat you with antibiotics AND you get better, then they lose billions of dollars on those new meds.

So many of the IDSA members have conflicts of interests that are so obvious - they have referred to their own written articles when they write a new article. 

They kicked my LLMD out of the IDSA group because he had a dissenting opinion!  The reason he was kicked out was for saying that he thought the rest of the IDSA group was jumping the gun and not considering that this might be a much more complex illness.  As he said, Tuberculosis is treated with long term antibiotics , and AIDS is treated indefinitely.... so how can you put a time line on this relatively newly researched illness?

I think what they are doing is absolutely criminal.  Why should they be allowed to take away medical licenses of doctors who are treating and curing patients and yet they go unnoticed.  It's time that they were on the spotlight and someone came down on them and how their refusal of treatment is killing patients.  Now THAT is sick!!!  I think it's downright criminal and can't believe we live in a country that allows this.
