Black man Single Have had the hiccups for 10yrs. Unable to sleep and at times speak with out discomfort because of the hiccups.   I drank myself into the hospital on sevral occasions.  No Not alcohol but anything that will drown these Hiccups....Throwing up at times works at other time they don't.  I've tried several medications to which none work. Cranberry juice was my cure until it ran my sugar up to 918 In the ER. I had surgery for spinal stynosis My neck was fused at the 4 5,6 Vert.  I thought the pinching of the spine was the reason for the hiccups being that the vegus nerve comes out of the same area.  I heard pof a story on Greyanatomy of a wopman with a tare in the esophogus which cause her hiccups.  At Times my inner ear itches.  For years i have been dealing with this and it is becoming unbearable.  Can You help? Oprah said no cause she didn't have a cure!
