Does anyone know how to have a lucid dream? I've been having this re-occuring dream, and I would really love to put an end to it, but I'm not sure how or if there's even a way. This is the dream I have been having: (It's kind of in story form, because I wrote about it for creative writing.)
I fall to the ground. How I got here is unknown to me. I look around. I see nothing but trees. Beautiful trees. I look around, enjoying the veiw. At first so breath-takingly beautiful. But there are too many. I'm surrounded by the dark shadows. No way out. Nothing but the sound of leaves rustling in the wind. I jump to my feet, frantic to get out. Does it even matter which way I go? Everything looks the same. I start walking, but nothing changed. Am I even moving? Running. Running faster and faster. Still, nothing changes. Then, I see it. Very faint. Glowing so dim, that I almost can't even see it. I start running towards it. It's getting closer and closer. I'm almost there. I can almost feel it. I'm just about there when......................... I fall to the ground. How I got here is unknown to me. I look around and see nothing.

thats scary. the only dream i had was about me falling. have you tried a dream dictonary?
I've never heard of it. Is it a website?
What a dream you are having. I think your subconscious is trying to get your attention and asking you to face the truth about yourself and/or situations. It's not a bad thing by any means. Debbie Ford talks about how we have to embrace our shadow side as it can come in handy and save us. I would highly recommend getting Denise Linn's book "The Hidden Poer of Dreams" as she speaks about lucid dreaming and overcoming nightmares etc.. It is an excellent book and most helpful. One of Denise's techniques is to tell yourself as you are going to sleep that you will remember that you are dreaming. Sometimes just saying "I am dreaming" as you go to sleep will do the trick. It can take weeks before something happens so be patient. I have had quite a few lucid dreams and they are awesome. You can ask yourself questions to things you want to know about.
